Meet the doctors

Dr. Robert Gardiner, General Dentist
Owner & Clinician

Dr. Gardiner completed a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biology at Mount Allison University (Sackville, NB; 2006) in his home province of New Brunswick. He went on to complete a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS in 2010. Dr. Gardiner joined the Garibaldi Dental Clinic in Squamish, BC in 2010 and took over as owner and principal dentist there in 2013.

Dr. Gardiner practices all aspects of general dentistry and enjoys working with patients of all ages. He has a particular interest in advanced and innovative restorative techniques as well as implant dentistry for the replacement of single or multiple missing teeth.

Dr. Gardiner, his wife, two young sons and energetic dog feel privileged to live, work and play in the Sea to Sky Corridor. When he is not in the office, Dr. Gardiner can be found on his bike, on his skis or with a fly rod in his hand.

Dr. Nicholas Thomas

Dr. Thomas has joined GDC after three years in Vancouver. He graduated from the University of Alberta dental school in 2020 and completed a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Vancouver General Hospital. During his residency, he gained valuable experience in managing medically compromised and cancer patients, as well as providing emergency dental care and oral surgery. Before moving to Squamish, Nick lived and worked in Vancouver. Originally from a small town in Southern Alberta, he’s still a devoted Calgary Flames fan, even while enjoying life on the West Coast. Outside of work, Nick loves training for Ironman triathlons, hiking, snowshoeing in the mountains, and taking walks with his golden retriever. He’s dedicated to optimizing your oral health with a conservative, patient-centered approach!
